Dr Athan Fox is a scientist and technology entrepreneur based in Cambridge, UK. He is the co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Regenerate Technology Group and Ever Resource, two pioneering Cleantech companies focused on sustainable innovation in lead-acid batteries. Athan holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Cambridge and has spent over a decade developing advanced processes for the synthesis of enhanced/upcycled leady oxide.

He is the technology lead and co-inventor of REGENERATE®, a patented technology that enables the direct upcycling of lead-acid battery waste into nano-structured active materials with enhanced properties. His team has received numerous awards including UK’s Global Start-Up of the Year (2024) and Cambridge Independent Cleantech Company of the Year (2022).

Athan is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry and the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (both in the UK).
