Mass Production Applications of Glass Fiber Pasting Paper and Breakthrough Research on Glass Fiber Separators for Sodium-Ion Batteries
In the assembly process of power-dense batteries, like lead batteries, wood pulp fibre pasting paper is the traditional application product during manufacturing. However, a technical issue that has been troubling the Industry is that assembling batteries after applying wood pulp pasting paper to the plate surface may result in chemical reactions and physical changes, thereby affecting battery performance. As the micro-glass fibre separator manufacturer with the most complete industrial chain in China, Hua Yang has produced glass fibre pasting paper with two patented technologies based on its own product research and development and market development experience. After three years of joint research and development and batch application with Chaowei , Hua Yang’s glass fibre pasting paper has been put into batch use by Chaowei Group and launched into the market. This paper will detail the problems encountered by Hua Yang in developing glass fibre pasting paper and the solutions adopted, and elaborate on the prospects and development directions of glass fibre pasting paper for future markets. For instance, Hua Yang has invested a large amount of R&D resources in the glass fibre separators used in sodium-ion batteries. This paper will detail how the glass fibre separator can be improved through means such as new coatings to change the flow characteristics of ions. This presentation aims to comprehensively analyse the research and application status of the two products and predict future development trends. To achieve these, various research methods have been used, such as an extensive literature review and data analysis.
