Call for Papers

The Asian Battery Conference and Exhibition (ABC) is the premier battery industry event in Asia, providing a dynamic platform for industry leaders, researchers, and stakeholders to share insights and showcase innovations.

As both a forum and an expo, ABC presents the latest advancements in the design, manufacture, and application of lead–acid batteries.

The ABC program encourages presentations from a diverse range of contributors, including battery industry executives, customers, marketers, academic researchers, sales teams, resellers, and suppliers. International experts will report on the latest research and technological achievements in lead-acid battery solutions.

We are calling for papers from battery industry executives, customers, marketers, academia, researchers, sales teams, reseller networks, and suppliers.

Selection Criteria

Papers will be accepted on the basis of quality of abstract, originality, technical relevance and advancement of current practice. The decision will be made by the Program Committee and its decision will be final.

Format

All sessions will be presented in plenary style.

Language

The ABC is strongly attended from delegates from many countries with different native languages, but we do request papers to be presented in well-spoken English, which is the official Conference language.

Key Dates

Deadline for receipt of abstracts: 4 April 2025
Notification of paper acceptance: 1 May 2025

Papers

Papers will be scheduled to suit the final program and will be delivered as 20 minutes presentations with a further 5 minutes of question time from the floor.

Submission Conditions

  • The invitation to submit an abstract does not constitute an offer to pay travel, accommodation or registration costs associated with the Conference
  • Selected presenters are required to register for the conference. A reduced presenter registration fee will be offered. Failure to pay this fee by the set date will result in removal of the paper from the program.
  • By submitting this proposal you grant the organisers permission to publish the abstract in hard copy and electronic format.

Application Process

  • Please ensure the title of your presentation is in sentence case
  • The abstract should be brief with a 300-word limit. It should be concise, objective, and structured as follows:
    a). The purpose of the research
    b). The research methods that are being used
    c). A summary of the major findings and their overall significance
    d). Details of any further work needed
    e). Keywords: A limit of five
  • Abstracts must be accompanied by presenter’s biography of no more than 200 words
  • Please include all authors of the submission and their affiliations.

Presentation Format

Unless otherwise advised, all presenters will be required to submit PowerPoint presentations in advance along with any video content. Presentations will need to be supplied in 16:9 format as a .ppt file.
