Shane Christie is chief technology officer at ArcActive, where he leads research and development across all facets of the company’s advanced lead-acid battery technology. He has played a key role in the development of ArcActive’s unique fabric-structured electrodes since the company’s inception and personally pasted the first ArcActive electrode. With over a decade of experience in the lead-acid battery industry, Shane’s work has focused on improving dynamic charge acceptance (DCA), partial state-of-charge (PSoC) performance, and cycle life. These efforts have helped establish ArcActive as a global innovator in high-performance lead-acid batteries. Shane holds an honours degree in chemical and process engineering from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand.
