Begüm Bozkaya received a M.Sc. degree in Materials Science from Technical University of Munich and a PhD degree in Chemistry from Julius-Maximilian-Universität Würzburg. Her master´s thesis was based on the investigation of carbon additives on C/Si anode materials for lithium-ion batteries. During her PhD at Fraunhofer ISC, she has investigated the effects of carbon additives in negative plates for lead-acid batteries. Begüm has worked on several industrial projects for the past six years that have mainly focused on the enhancement of the dynamic charge acceptance.
